Picture of Andreas

And last but not least, here's Andreas (on the left), who was busy all day anouncing raffle prizes.

Here's a few comments from some of the people who attended this great event...some of which came from far away...

"Great fun, great food, great stuff to buy and sell (which we did both of), Trains running all day, great door prizes, met lots of friends, I could go on and on...."

Selwyn & Nancy Eddy Novato, CA.

"What a joy to play trains, deepen friendships and make new ones. On behalf of myself and as an extention the St. Louis ETE Chapter, thanks to all of you in the Bay Area who hosted and produced a fabulous day Sunday ..."

"It was European train heaven for me. I come home with many ideas, much excitement and most importantly the great friendships. This past weekend was what ETE is all about in general and what European train modelling is about in specific."

Bill Comfort Jr., ETE St. Louis

"Next time Andreas announces a meet in San Francisco - sell an engine and go west!"

"Jacques Vuye, thank you very much for your lecture on catenary. The day before Carl Weaver taught me how to make real landscape even with my 10 thumbs! So I can hardly wait till I get back to Norway where I'll tear apart my layout and start all over. (and there will be some märklin catenary for sale!) And Andreas, thanks for the greatest environment for a train meet! And Hans and your family - thank you for your hospitality"

Halvor Wergeland, Norway

Many thanks to Andreas Hildebrandt and Bob Zafran for putting this event together, and to all who contributed towards making this event a great success. Also thanks to Takashi Murakami for submitting the pictures above.

Hope to see you all at EuroTrains West '98
