EuroWest 2001
aka EuroWest 5

EuroWest 2001 is concluded and it was a blast! EuroWest 2001 was held in Belmont California at Cipriani Elementary School. Over two hundred attended the showing of four module groups; the San Francisco ETE Modulars, the Pacific Northwest ETE Modules (Eclectic) , the San Diego ETE Modulars (Light) and the San Francisco BEMO Module Group and an N scale layout by Peter Barnes of the San Francisco Chapter. There were also clinics about catenary (Errol Kubicki), weathering (Rudi Pfeiffer), buying Orient Express Model Cars from Christie's (Jeff Keuscher), A travel log (Bill Juergen's), access to computers to wander the many Euro-Rail sites, and of course the vendors.

The San Francisco Chapter and ETE Board of Directors were hosts with Marklin USA helping sponsor EuroWest 2001.  Gordon Laughland released his latest video EuroRail 2000 at the show. A must see if you are into the latest Euro equipment and want to see some nostalgia steam operations.

The ETE Board of Directors wishes to thank all the folks who made EuroWest 2001 the great event it was.

And now for the photos!

Cipriani School, where it all happened.

The Banner says it all.

Jeff used Power Point in his presentation about his trip to Christie's Auction House in London.

Dr of Dirt, Rudi Pfeiffer demonstrated removable techniques to weather rolling stock and buildings. Can't have permanent weathering bringing down the value of the Marklin rolling stock.

Here's Vance Mitchell, one of the vendors, with only two of his many tables.

Stretch Andersen is recognized for his contributions to ETE. Also Hans Beck and Bill Juergens were recognized.
