ENE Modules
by Steven Stern
During a recent business trip to Boston I had the opportunity to visit the ENE Module SIG group. Surprisingly, the group had scheduled a Saturday work session on September 2nd, 2000, labor day weekend. Oh, what a way to conclude a business trip, playing with trains on a rainy day !
The meeting took place in the basement of Royce Thomas' apartment building in Foxboro, MA where the modules are permanently setup. Members present were: Royce Thomas, Barry Kriegsman, William Young, William Megowen, Alexander Leonard, Kevin Brady, Peter Cardosi, Jim Geratowski, David Green and Robert Tufts. (I hope I didn't miss anyone !)
During this session, 8 full modules and 4 corner modules were available, basically taking up the entire basement area. Most of the day was spent working on catenary, scenery and solving some electrical problems. Of course trains were running as well.
Below are pictures I took during my visit. Forgive me for not adding extensive captions, but most are self explanatory. Also keep in mind some of these modules are still under construction.
Great job to all of you who have worked on these modules !
