Wil Van Oldenmark's layout is
still growing. The wizard of Vista is still at it
building the grandest
Marklin layout in southern California.
In fact all of California. In fact
maybe on the whole West Coast west of the Rockies!
So let's take a look
at some of the latest things he's up to.
The engine terminal
or Bahnbetriebwerks with the Marklin/Fleischmann turntable.
The
BR 10 is getting ready to board the turntable. Is that a decapitated Lilliput
crane on the siding?
The BR 10 is almost on the
turntable.
The station of Weldam. Behind it we see one of the many
staging yards.
The yard tracks at Weldam. The BR 89 has just been fueled up
for test work in the yard.
A Swiss visitor on Wil's
layouts.
The small engine yard which Wil uses to perplex guest
operators.
The Diesel refueling yard and small storage yard. On the main
a Rolling Road Train has derailed. Fortunately there
were no
injuries.
Another view of small engine yard.
John Oberhauser
and Rudi Pfeiffer are getting instructions from Wil on their tasks.
The
Master Wil in great form.
A view of some of the block
houses at Weldam.
A coal train departs the main station.
